Sound healing:"In the beginning was the word". Sound is a physical force its affects can be seen and felt, because of this the human body can be affected by it.There are many healing modalities of sound:

The spoken word: Each letter of the sanskrit alphabet is on a petal of the sacred lotus.This is to signify that every word or sound has power. This power is connected to the emotions and mental activities but also to a Spirit of the highest order. On the petals of the first Chakra appear the first four letters.Because the journey of the Kundalini is a path of evolution it becomes evident that with each Chakra there is an increased perception of power manifested producing more complex sounds as we journey up through the Chakras refining speech.Coarse language is termed"wrong conduct" for all aspirants of any path.sensitivity is only gained by refinement and cultivation.

Mantras: Are words of power they include sacred texts like the Vedas and Upanishads these are sound formulations in praise of aspects of the divine. On a basic level the Mantra is used as an incantation. At a higher level,when it has become Mantra Yoga,the Mantra is practiced for single pointedness of mind. On a still higher level it activates and amplifies latent forces which are within every human being tapping into the universal cosmic forces. To speak these words or sounds of power is to acquire the power in them, contacting the source of sound and thought. The empty skull(void) is too awesome for the average being to conceive. The mind resists the vacum, doing its best to fill it with its own creations It is a constant battle to keep the mind still. In its natural state of calm (the pure mind) 

Through the constant chanting of a Mantra the mental processes finally exausts itself and the mind then becomes open to very subtle intuitive perceptions some of these emanations come from a source that is outside the human mind one can come into contact with vortexes of energy that was at some time in a physical body which helps guide and sustain the practitioner to be persistent in the practice of mantra.

Drumming and other percussive sounds can generate hypnotic,trance like states carrying one to supernatural worlds of altered states of conciousness. This type of Shmanic healing is very powerful.

Music and song: Music connects spirit and matter.This evokes primordial memories of the rythms and vibrations of the womb offering moments of authentic togethernes. Song and music is such a powerfully connecting sense it brings the two hemispheres of the brain together to work in a specially unified way- speech is processed mainly by the left hemisphere, while the right pirmarily concerns itself with the processing of non verbal senses such as music.

Crystal sounding bowls: Crystals are fossilised water,formed when water combines with an element under ceratin conditions. Quartz crystals have many physical properties.They amplify, transform, store, focus and transfer energy. We are surrounded by quartz crystal technology in our enviroment Computers, time pieces, radio, television, laser tools, microphones. Our bodies are completely crystaline in structure. 

Using the bowls around the field of the body creates a resonant energy that realigns the subtle vibrant energy of the body producing a very powerful comforting familiar resonance of energy. Each crystal bowl resonates at a particular vibration corresponding to each of the seven musical notes and the seven chakras.
